As this iconic sports car enters its sixth generation the BMW M3 Saloon M3 Competition Saloon show just how much racing performance is possible with a BMW 3 Series. This comes courtesy of a 480 hp M TwinPower Turbo engine, rear-wheel drive and highly developed technologies derived from motorsport, such as the M specific suspension with Active M Differential. A perfectly graduated manual 6-speed M transmission with short, precise shifting enables particularly intensive interaction between driver and vehicle – in everyday driving as well as on the racetrack.

The BMW M TwinPower Turbo inline 6-cylinder petrol engine features superior power delivery and the striking characteristic M engine sound. The two mono-scroll turbochargers, direct High-Precision injection, fully variable control and variable camshaft control ensure outstanding performance.
8-speed M Steptronic with Drivelogic.
The 8-speed M Steptronic transmission with Drivelogic offers numerous shafting options. You can shift manually using the gear lever or the gearshift paddles on the steering wheerl, or select one of three automatic programmes using Drivelogic.
M xDrive.
M xDrive with Active M Differential guarantees maximum traction and driving dynamics for everyday driving, as well as at the racetrack. The optional M specific technology combines the typical agility of a rear-wheel drive with the control of an all=wheel drive. You can choose between the drive variants 4WD, 4WD Sport and – in DSC-off mode – 2WD.
